LOOPBACK

Loopback

Monitor audio from Windows applications through RUVODEK's Loopback workflow.

Monitor audio from other apps

  1. Turn on LOOPBACK in RUVODEK.
  2. Start YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, or another streaming service.
  3. That’s it — RUVODEK will immediately begin monitoring the audio through Loopback.

Press PLAY or STOP to leave Loopback and return RUVODEK to file-playback mode. Your loaded music file will be ready to play again.

You can also turn LOOPBACK off directly whenever you want to return to file playback.

If the meters do not move

1. Check Windows audio first

Open Windows Volume Mixer and make sure the app you are listening to is actually producing sound.

2. Loopback does not work in Windows Exclusive Mode

Windows Loopback works through the shared Windows audio engine. Exclusive Mode gives one application direct control of the audio device, so the shared audio stream that Loopback monitors is not available.

3. Shared audio modes are also available for Loopback

You can also use Windows Audio Low Latency or DirectSound with Loopback in RUVODEK.

For reliable Loopback operation, we recommend:

  • Sample Rate: 48,000 Hz
  • Audio Buffer: 10 ms

Once these settings are in place, turn LOOPBACK on again and start YouTube, Spotify, Netflix, or another streaming service.
